Nader Kishek

Senior Web Engineer · Building websites since 2007

I’ve been building websites since 2007. Here’s why that matters to you:

I’m Nader. I started building websites in 2007 and have run LightWeb Media for ten years. Before that I built e-commerce and analytics systems for clients including GM, FCA, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Sears and JCPenney, where a website isn’t a brochure, it’s a system that has to work for thousands of people and keep working.

I left that world to do the same work for small businesses, because small businesses were getting the worst of both ends: cheap sites that don’t work, or agency prices they can’t justify.

How I work

You get one person. That’s deliberate

I’m one person. That’s deliberate. When you hire LightWeb Media, you get me, from the first call to the launch to the email you send a year later when something needs updating. No account manager translates your request to a developer you’ll never meet. No junior builds it while a senior reviews it. I build it.

What I Believe

What I believe about websites

  • You should own your website. Not rent it on someone’s platform. Own it, on your hosting, in your name, able to take it anywhere.
  • Your site should speak your customers’ language. Literally. I build in English and other languages, with right-to-left layouts done properly.
  • A website should generate customers, not just exist. Every site I build has a job: produce inquiries, bookings, or sales. Design serves that.
  • You should be able to run your site yourself if you want to. I train every client on their site. Maintenance plans are optional, not a hostage situation.

How I judge a site

A website isn’t done because it looks good.

It’s done when it loads fast on a phone on a weak connection, when a search engine can read it, when someone with a screen reader can use it, and when the inquiry actually lands in your inbox. I check all four before launch, on every project, because that’s what the enterprise work taught me: looking right and working right are two different jobs.

Based in Michigan, working everywhere

I work with clients across the US and internationally through video calls and shared project tools. Distance has never been a problem.
